Groundbreaking ceremony for the Philippines Asiga River small-scale hydroelectric plant

On December 18th, Chodai Co., Ltd. participated in the groundbreaking ceremony held at the planned construction site for the 8 MW Asiga River small-scale hydroelectric plant (capacity: 8 MW; project cost approx. 2.4 billion yen; planned opening in early 2014), which Chodai is developing together with three local companies on Mindanao Island in the Philippines.

The lavish 1-hour groundbreaking ceremony began at 12:30 at the planned project site in Santiago, and was attended by over 200 people including project investors, government agency officials, local government officials and representatives, as well as local residents.
