Energy

We have expanded our business to encompass all aspects of renewable energy,
with a focus on small-scale hydraulic power generation projects in Southeast Asia.

Eighty percent of the energy consumed in Japan is from fossil fuels such as petroleum, for most of which we depend on foreign countries. Meanwhile, with the economic development of emerging countries, the global energy demand is increasing. At Chodai, we focus on energy projects with small-scale hydraulic power generation at their core, enabling a stable power supply among renewable energy alternatives in Southeast Asia using our civil engineering technology cultivated in Japan. We provide and manage technical consulting at each phase, from planning to operation to maintenance.

Chodai has achieved a multitude of successes in the commercialization of small-scale hydraulic power generation in Southeast Asian regions lacking infrastructure. By applying our technology and expertise, we have also expanded our business in the development of alternative energies to petroleum, including solar, geothermal, wind, and biomass power. Our goal is to complete sustainable power generation projects that contribute to the development of local economies through the support of facility installations with high supply reliability, and by participating in projects involving the procurement of financial support and funding.
