Chodai opens Manila office

On August 1st, Chodai Co., Ltd. opened a representative office in the Makati district in the Philippine capital Manila.

Since autumn 2011, Chodai has participated in three hydroelectric plant development projects in the provinces of Agusan del Norte and Agusan del Sur on Mindanao Island together with Equi-Parco Construction Company, the largest general contractor on the island headquartered in Butuan City. In March this year, Chodai and group company Kiso-Jiban Consultants Co., Ltd. also signed a memorandum of understanding (MOU) with Equi-Parco on the joint development of an industrial park specializing in agriculture, forestry, fisheries and food processing in Butuan City in Agusan del Norte province.

The opening of the Manila office aims to accelerate and expand Chodai’s operations not only on Mindanao Island but in the whole of the country. The office will also serve as a base for information collection to further develop new ODA projects, and shows Chodai’s commitment to the continued expansion of its business activities in the Philippines.
