　Kiso-Jiban Consultants Co., Ltd. (headquarters at 1-5-7 Kameido, Koto-ku, Tokyo; President and CEO Dr. Yoshiyuki Yagiura), a member of the Chodai Group, has received a JPY 1.2 billion contract to undertake observation and monitoring of land reclamation work on the island of Pulau Tekong, a project ordered by the Singapore Housing & Development Board.

　Located two kilometers east of Singapore Island near the Malaysian border, Pulau Tekong has been the subject of ongoing land reclamation projects since the 1980s.

　This particular reclamation project involves the transportation to various sectors of Pulau Tekong of soil produced as a result of excavation projects across Singapore, as well as associated dredging, soil improvement, drainage, measurement, soil analysis, soil testing, and monitoring activities. Following the conclusion of the reclamation project, the newly-created land will be used for a wide variety of purposes, contributing significantly to the further economic growth of Singapore as a whole.

　The Singapore branch of Kiso-Jiban Consultants Co., Ltd. has signed a contract (total contract value: JPY 1.2 billion) with the original contractors for the reclamation project, TOA Corporation and Samsung C&T Corporation, to conduct soil quality analysis and testing of the reclamation project area (approximately 350 hectares) based on at least 750 on- and off-shore bores, as well as monitoring of foundational improvements. This project is planned to continue for a period of 72 months (six years).

　Even amidst the COVID-19 pandemic, the Chodai Group aims to continue its active involvement in overseas projects in order to contribute to the economic development of partner countries, while maintaining a balance between environmental protection and infrastructural development.
